Resale Selling Assistant
We primarily work as a resale selling assistant for you, by using our multiple retail facets to sell your items for the best possible price and as timely as possible.  We are a professional retailer pooling all our resources to sell your items most effectively. 
 
One of the biggest struggles in any retail business is advertising and letting people know what you have for sale, where you are and how they can inspect and purchase the items you have for sale.  Since we are constantly marketing the store we will do this for you and can be set up in many ways that an individual cannot even do, such as credit card processing and regular store hours.  Plus there is the cross-marketing of everyone's items to draw traffic to see your item.
 
One of the reasons that you have to settle for a lower price when selling an item is because you just have not put it in front of the right person that is willing to pay the best price for the item.  i.e.
  • You are having a garage sale over the weekend and in order to make sure your items sell in the weekend, you price them so ridiculously under value that how could they be passed up?  In fact more often than not someone will buy them just to resell them at a more appropriate value making a profit on your items.  The real question is how much under value do you go and is the difference worth a consignment commission?
  • You are moving and need to be out by a specific time.  You either sell your items very far in advance and live out of cardboard boxes and folding chairs or run the risk of having to throw them out, sell them under-value or donate them to dispose of them by your move out date.  It is far less dramatic to schedule a move out of your items to our store very near your move out date and let us sell your items has the correct buyer is found.
 
Consignment Sales:

House of Treasure, LLC is a consignment store which is designed around the co-operative marketing and display of resale items.  Owners allow us to sell items on their behalf and we receive a commission from the sale.  There are no upfront fees on acceptable items and ownership is retained until the items sell.  We handle the entire marketing, display, sale, shipping (if necessary) and money transaction, ensuring secure payment.  Once your item is sold and normal waiting periods have cleared, a company check is issued to you for the sale of your items, minus the appropriate commission.  A detailed statement of your sale is provided. 
 
Your only responsibility is getting the items to the store for sale in acceptable condition.  All items are subject to inspection and for larger furniture items it is best to have a pre-approval inspection.

 

Dealer Booths:

In 2011, House of Treasure expanded into an adjacent store location which is accessed through our main store.  This is our Dealer Mall and we rent booth space in this 3,000 squar foot area.  Dealers are responsible for pricing, inventoring and displaying their items in their assigned booth space.   This is a great option for people that want more involvement and have a continual inventory of items to sell.  Basically we handle the sales from your booth on a daily basis.  Dealers pay a monthly rent based on the size of their booth and small percentage of sales.  Please contact us for more information.
Estate Liquidations:

We do process estate liquidations whether it was due to a loss in your family, down-sizing or moving.  A pre-approval inspection of the estate is required and from it a more detailed explanation and quote for the service can be provided.   There are primarily three plans we will offer for your consideration. 
  1. If you have the means to bring the items to our store, our normal Consignment Sales is the best option.
  2. If needed we will provide a quote to pick-up and move all the approved items to our store.  Optionally, the fee for the pick-up and moving may be able to be applied to your sales account and no upfront money is required.
  3. The quickest settlement means, but also yeilding the least amount of profit , is an estate disposition.  We will evaluate the estate and potentially offer a lump sum purchase amount.  This amount will normally be between 20-25% of a conservative retail value estimate.  It will include complete removal of all specified and agreed items.  A company check will be provided for the agreed amount at the time of estate pick-up.
